Rachel is entering her second year as Assistant Athletic Trainer at the University of Mary Washington. Her primary athletic team responsibilities include men’s and women’s soccer, women’s basketball, women’s lacrosse, and women’s tennis. She came to UMW after working for 4 years at Washington and Lee University, a Division III institution in Lexington, VA. While at W&L, she worked with both soccer teams, wrestling, swimming, and men’s lacrosse.
Prior to her time at W&L, Rachel attended the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, earning a Master’s of Education degree in Kinesiology, with a concentration in Athletic Training. During her year at UVa, she worked as a graduate assistant ATC with the football team. Rachel completed her undergraduate education from Mercyhurst University (formerly College) in Erie, Pennsylvania. She earned a B.S. degree in Sports Medicine, with a concentration in Athletic Training in 2009.
She currently resides in Fredericksburg, and enjoys being active, outdoors, reading, and cooking in her spare time. Rachel is BOC certified and licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an Athletic Trainer, and holds a CPR/AED certification through the American Heart Association.
