The University of Mary Washington men's rowing team's varsity four boat capped the 2008-09 UMW athletics schedule by finishing in first place in the third level final of the IRA National Championships in Gold River, Cal., on Saturday.

The Eagles crossed the line in first place with a time of 6:52.68, ahead of the University of San Diego, the University of California-Irvine, Santa Clara University, and the University of California-San Diego. Members of the boat included Michelle Ryder, Steven Bruen, William Bennett, Daniel Smith, and Sebastian Watt.
