UMW's Cash Invited to NCAA Track Championships; Becomes Sixth UMW Spring Team Represented at NCAAs

Matt Cash (Fredericksburg, Va., Stafford) has been selected to compete in the 2010 NCAA Division III Men's Track and Field Championships, as announced Sunday. Cash, who will compete in the 800 meters on Friday, will represent a UMW men's track team that becomes the sixth Eagle spring team to advance to NCAA Championship competition, a new record for the highly-successful program.
In addition to Cash's qualification, the men's and women's tennis teams advanced to the second round of NCAA Competition, while the baseball team finished third in the South regional this weekend. The women's lacrosse team finished in the 3rd round of NCAA play, and the women's rowing team will compete in the national championships this week as well.
