UMW Riding Team Places Third at Goucher Show; Finishes Second in Region Standings

The University of Mary Washington riding team finished in third place at Saturday's Goucher College Show, placing the Eagles in second place in the final regional standings for the season. The Eagles will have eight competitors at next week's regional show.

On Saturday, the Eagles saw wins from Brittany Hill (Frederick, Md., Linganore) in open on the flat, Mary Ryan Richardson (Powhatan, Va., Powhatan) in novice over fences, Rebecca Presor (Leesburg, Va., Heritage) in advanced walk-trot-canter, Catarina Brokaw (Alexandria, Va., West Potomac) in beginning walk-trot-canter, and Christine Cook (Baltimore, Md., Bryn Mawr) in novice on the flat.

The regional show will be held next weekend at the College of William and Mary.
