UMW Riders Take Second at Home Show

The University of Mary Washington riding team hosted its second show in as many days, barely missing out on first place by one point to Goucher College on Sunday at Hazelwild Farm.

The Eagles had four first place finishes on the day. Molly Banfield was the high point rider for the day, winning her open over fences class. Alyssa Zarzecki and Chloe Childers each won their intermediate on the flat classes, and Elicia Franchini won her walk-trot class.

Select riders will advance to the zone championships at Goucher College on March 30.
