UMW Riding Places Second at CNU; Banfield Takes High Point Honors

The University of Mary Washington riding team finished second at the Christopher Newport University show on Saturday, and crept to within one point of first place in the regional standings.

Molly Banfield won both her open on the flat and open over fences classes, and was named the high point rider for the day. Haley Cook won her intermediate over fences class, and Kimberly Counts took first in her novice on the flat class.

The Eagles return to action on Sunday at the College of William and Mary.
