UMW Field Hockey Falls at #19 CNU in OT

The University of Mary Washington field hockey team dropped a 4-3 overtime thriller at \#19 Christopher Newport University on Wednesday in Newport News, Va. The Eagles fall to 6-5 on the season.

The Eagles trailed, 3-1, but scored a pair of second half goals to tie the score. Kaitlyn Ripley scored UMW's first goal, and Erin Duffy and Florence George scored the second half tallies to knot the score.

Both teams had 12 shots in the game, with CNU holding an 11-8 edge in penalty corners. Chrissy Bowdren had five saves for the Eagles.
