UMW Women's Basketball Receives Votes in D3Hoops.com Preseason National Poll

MINNEAPOLIS, MN - The University of Mary Washington women's basketball team is listed as receiving votes in the 2009-10 D3Hoops.com national poll, released on Thursday. The Eagles, who finished 23-6 and captured their third straight Capital Athletic Conference championship last winter, return eight players from that squad, which made the program's fifth straight NCAA Tournament appearance.

Four teams received No. 1 votes in the poll, with Washington University edging on top, nine points ahead of Amherst College.
