UMW Places Six on All-CAC Women's Lax Team

Third place and 11th-ranked Mary Washington gained six positions on the 2012 All-Capital Athletic Conference Women's Lacrosse team, as announced today.

UMW was led by senior attackers Catherine Kennedy (Baltimore, Md./Lutheran) and Allie Kimmelman (Burke, Va./Robinson) along with junior defender Katie Mastropaolo (Ruckersville, Va./Albemarle). Second-team choices included junior attack Keller Torrey (Roswell, Ga./Centennial), sophomore midfielder Jenna Petrucelli (Cranbury, N.J./Peddie School) and senior defender Jenny Atmar (Houston, Texas/Bellaire).

Kennedy completes her career as a four-time first-team All-CAC player. She was also the Player of the Year in 2011 and the Rookie of the Year in 2009. Kimmelmann was also a four-time all-conference honoree, including three first team nods. Atmar is making her third-straight appearance on the All-CAC team while Mastropaolo and Torrey were second-team all-stars in 2011.
