#16 UMW Women's Tennis Tops Salisbury, 8-1

The 16th-ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team defeated previously unbeaten Salisbury University, 8-1, in a Capital Athletic Conference clash at the Battleground on Wednesday afternoon. The Eagles improve to 10-7, while the Gulls fall to 10-1.

The Eagles led, 2-1, after doubles, as the Eagles picked up wins at two and three. UMW then won all six singles matches, four of which in straight set fashion.

The Eagles will visit St. Mary's College on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
