Adebanjo, Brehm Named CAC Players of the Week
University of Mary Washington junior Tola Adebanjo was named the Capital Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week this week, and junior Tina Brehm was named the league's defensive player of the week.

Salisbury sophomore forward SARAH PFUNDSTEIN (Crofton, Md./South River) was named the CAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week while Mary Washington junior keeper TINA BREHM (Springfield, Va./Lee) was selected as the CAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for Oct. 18, 2010.
Pfundstein scored a goal in both Salisbury wins against CAC opponents this week, and added an assist in the Sea Gulls’ win at Hood, as Salisbury clinched a 2010 CAC playoff berth. She ranks second in the team this season with four goals and nine points.
Brehm was credited with three saves on nine shots in a shutout victory over York - her fourth shutout of the season. She also knocked away several dangerous balls sent into the goalmouth on crossing passes or corner kicks as the defending CAC champions moved into sixth place in the battle for one of the six CAC playoff nods.

Mary Washington junior hitter TOLA ADEBANJO (Overland Park, Kan./Blue Valley Northwest) was named CAC Volleyball Player of the Week for Oct. 18, 2010, after leading the Eagles to a pair of victories, including a critical 3-2 decision over St. Mary’s. Adebanjo had 18 kills and hit for .394 percent and chipped in 15 digs in UMW’s victory over the Seahawks, which lifted the Eagles into second place in the CAC standings. She then added eight kills, a .400 hitting percentage, two service aces and 12 digs in a weekend shutout victory over Lynchburg.
